Arsenal have been linked with a move for Brazilian midfielder Diego who admitted that he would be interested in joining the Gunners.
Diego told The Sun: ‘It would be the ideal destination for me because their style suits my characteristics perfectly. Of course I would say “yes” to Arsenal.
‘Southampton have great organisation and discipline and big talents like Adam Lallana. But again there is nothing concrete.
‘Playing in England is a very attractive proposition at the peak of my career but I’m focusing on helping Wolfsburg to get in the Champions League.’
Diego would be a free summer signing for Arsenal as his current deal with Wolfsburg ends in the summer. Although Arsenal have an abundance of quality midfielders right now, an opportunity to sign a player of Diego’s quality for free should not be turned away, especially if Diego is willing to join Arsenal.
The Brazilian midfielder was recently in London as he posted pictures of himself and his son at the London Eye on Instagram. Could Diego already be checking out London and what it has to offer before a potential move to Arsenal in the summer?
