Arsenal need to go out and spend ion the next couple of days and bring in some quality players. Arsenal are searching for a new centre-back and we have been linked with the likes of Scott Dan and Gary Cahill but now it is suggested that Arsene Wenger has turned his attention on bringing in Real Madrid’s Raul Albiol.
The Spanish defender is deemed surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho and thus he may be sold this summer. Albiol is a highly rated defender but he has just not been able to break into the Real Madrid starting lineup. At £8million, Albiol would be a real bargain for us to bring in.
There were suggestions to today that we have bid only £6million for Gary Cahill. There is no way we will be able to sign a player of that quality for such a long fee.

What are Arsenal really doing with their money ? – £80 million recently had from Fabregas, Nasri and champion’s league qualification and around £180 million a year stadium, yet they bid £6m for a top defender (Cahill)and £8m for a defender that cannot break into Real Madrid’ defensive pair ? Is this ambition ? No.
Someone must investigate what is happening because there is a lot of greed or fraud going on.
If we are happy to pocket over £20m for Nasri on his last year of his contract, then why cant we except Bolton’s figure for Cahill ? This is where the ususal silly prudence has to be put aside for once, because the world can clearly see that Arsenal has the money and refuses to spend it – of course people will say the transfer window is not shut yet, but the way things are going I do not believe Arsenal want to spend on really quality players, they are still looking for 16 and 14 year olds.
