Nicklas Bendtner might have scored twice for Wolfsburg in the Europa League on Thursday, but he was not the only former Arsenal striker to find the net on the European stage last night.
Sevilla’s Jose Antonio Reyes orchestrated and finished off a slick, one-touch passing move that will have Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and Tony Pulis Johan Cryuff all nodding in approval.
Things never really worked out for the Spaniard after sealing a big-money move to Highbury in 2004, but he has rebuilt his career in recent years and it’s good to see him in the spotlight.
