Reported Arsenal target Paco Alacer has drawn a line under the speculation regarding his future by reiterating his intention to stay at Valencia.

The 21-year-old is out of contract with Los Che in 2016 and we, along with Spurs, were reportedly plotting a summer bid for the Spain striker.

However, Alacer, who has four goals in 10 outings for Valencia this season, has rubbished those reports by signalling his intention to stay at the Mestalla.

He told reporters on Friday: “I’m from Valencia and want to stay here. Hopefully soon the subject will be closed.”

Alacer saw his form for Valencia rewarded with a first call-up to Vicente del Bosque’s Spain team in August and has since struck three goals in Euro 2016 qualifying.

Despite being a decent player, The Gooner won’t lose too much sleep over his decision to stay with the Spanish club for the time being.
