Arsenal are being linked with many striker as we look to reinforce our side in the January transfer window. Olivier Giroud is the current lone striker and he needs help. Yes there is Nicklas Bendtner but the Danish striker is simply not good enough for Arsenal right now and will most likely leave in January if any club is willing to buy him.

The likes of Karim Benzema, and Konstantinos Mitroglou continue to be linked with Arsenal but it will be tough to sign a quality striker in this window as most clubs are not willing to part with their best players.

One option has come Arsenal’s way in the last few days and that is possibly signing Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata on loan. A loan striker signing would make sense for Arsene Wenger and the wait until the summer to bring in a big name striker.

But Arsenal may not have to splash millions on a striker for next season as we have Joel Campbell on loan at Olympiakos who is playing very well.

The Costa Rican 21-year-old striker has 11 Greek Super League appearances and has scored four goals and contributed eight assists.

On the weekend he scored a cracker of a goal against Ergotelis during the club’s 3-0 win in keeping with his reputation as a scorer of great goals.

Since joining Arsenal in 2011, Campbell has had a hat-trick of loan moves, to Lorient for a season then Real Betis for a year , both because of not getting a work permit for the UK. Campbell finally got his work permit but was sent out on loan to Olympiakos this season to further build his game. I am pretty sure that Arsene Wenger will be making sure he features at Arsenal next season.
