This must be the joke of the year! Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner believes he will eventually end up playing for either Barcelona or Real Madrid when he leaves Arsenal.
The 25-year-old has declared that he wants to leave Arsenal as he is surplus to requirements largely due to that fact that he is not good enough. Why then does he think Barcelona or Real Madrid would want him?
Bendtner was asked by Danish media how he envisages his career to pan out, Bendtner reportedly responded: “Real Madrid or Barcelona,” according to the Daily Mail.
“It is the sport that is the most important,” he continued. “I’m going somewhere where I know I can be happy to play. With a team where I can score goals and preferably to win something.
“I do not want to sit on the bench and staring. I love playing lots of games.”
Will Carlo Ancelotti or Gerardo Martino take Bendtner up on his offer? I somehow doubt it!
