Many Arsenal fans are calling out for Wenger to go buy a new goalkeeper this summer. We had initially tried to get Pepe Reina from Liverpool but that was really a dream. We have been linked with the likes of Buffon and Shay Given in the past but nothing concrete has come out of that. Whether Arsene Wenger feels we need to sign a new first choice keeper, that is up to him.
But according to Paul Merson, he feels that Arsenal do not need a new number one and we should rather stick with Szczesny.
Merson said, “The goalkeeper’s made mistakes at vital times.
“He’s a young goalie but if they bring in a new keeper he [Szczesny] may not play again for three or four years, so I think they’ll stay with him and in two or three years he’ll be top drawer. “
What do you think? Is Merson right or should we still go out and find a new goalkeeper?
Merse was complaining only yesterday that Arsenal need to buy experienced players that will do it NOW in the premier league and not kids that we have to wait 2/3 years for. Whats the differnce? Make your mind up Merse!

Arsenal desperately needs an experienced keeper.these clowns we currently have won’t take us anyway.Merson is sick.just take a look at ManU,Chelsea,Liverpool then you will the gulf between their keepers and our boy.we have to win come next season.wake up Merson,we don’t have 2 or 3 years.it has to be now or AW has to go .
It is better to keep the young players than going after expensive old players.Lets wait and see what become of him next season.Hope you guys will not say ,now we have the best goalkeeper.
