Real Madrid midfielder and reported Arsenal target Sami Khedira has insisted that he has no plans on leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Germany World Cup winner is out of contract with the European champions in June, prompting speculation that Real could cash in on the 27-year-old this winter.
The Gunners have been repeatedly linked with the combative midfielder, but recent reports suggested that Khedira is not keen on a move to North London after watching international team-mate Mesut Ozil struggle since his club-record £42.5 million switch.
“There have not been talks with any other teams,” Khedira told Kicker. “I have never even considered leaving. And that has not changed as of yet.
“Real Madrid are a great team. There is not really a reason for me to say that I want to leave or have to leave.”
Here’s a brief list of things that The Gooner would do to secure Khedira’s signature.
1) Wear a Spurs shirt
2) Lick Daniel Levy’s bald head after a two-hour stint in the sauna
3) Get the Tottenham crest tattooed on its forehead
Okay so that last one wouldn’t happen, but Khedira is that good and would prove a massive upgrade on either Mikel Arteta or Mathieu Flamini.
