There is some good injury news coming out of Arsenal for a change! Nicklas Bendtner is close to fitness again after picking up an ankle injury against Cardiff. Who would have thought that we would be looking forward to having Bendtner back to fitness as many had wanted him out of the Arsenal door! Well some still do, but considering the position we are in, we may just need him to help our strikeforce lead us to a Premier League title.

Bendtner seems unlikely to be fit for Monday night’s clash with Aston Villa but there have been suggestions he will make the game against Fulham a week later.

With Yaya Sanogo and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also returning to fitness, this is good news for Wenger especially since Theo Walcott is now out for the rest of the season.

Nicklas Bendtner uploaded the picture above on to Instagram with the following tagline: “Ankle is getting there. #arsenal #arsenalfamily #afc #23?

It will be interesting to see what Wenger does in the January transfer window. Does he go out and bring in another striker or is he happy with the options he currently has?
