Wenger: Striker could leave in January

Wenger

All the transfer talk at Arsenal right now is surrounding our need to sign a new striker in January. Olivier Giroud is carrying the load by himself up front and there is going to come a time when he is off form, tired or gets injured. Then what for Arsenal?

Nicklas Bendtner is meant to be the backup striker for Arsenal but Arsene Wenger thinks that the Danish striker may be leaving in the January transfer window.

Wenger said, “I think Bendtner has the level, but at the moment he doesn’t get enough games – and as well, in his head, is he here or has he planned to go (in January)?”

Bendtner has said that he wants to leave Arsenal and even eyed a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid. I seriously doubt he will be able to join either of those Spanish giants and he may be better off aiming lower than that.

It would be a great move for Bendtner to leave Arsenal, not only is he not good enough for us but he is on a high wage bill and we could save a lot by getting rid of his reported 50k a week wages. Couple that with his off the field antics, then one can see why Wenger has no idea what is going on in the strikers head.
