Cesc Fabregas has hinted that he could return to Arsenal one day… But not as a player as most of us may want but rather as a coach.

The former Arsenal captain who is now at Barcelona said, ‘I’m sure they would give me the option to help out there.

‘Sol Campbell is there at the moment. Dennis Bergkamp also went there two or three times a week to train when he was doing his coaching badges. It’s a great club in that sense.’

Fabregas is still only 26-years old so it may be a bit too early for him to start talking about coaching. He probably still have about 10 years left in his playing career if he remains fit.

Many fans still feel hurt by Fabregas’ departure to Barcelona in 2011. But what is done is done and we as Arsenal just have to look towards the future which is looking very bright. Even Fabregas himself is seeing the great progress the club is making, especially with the arrival of Ozil.

‘Ozil is the man who makes the difference in the final third,’ Fabregas says. ‘He will find so much space in the Premier League and he’s a player who with space kills you. His final pass is brilliant. And he will score more goals in England than he did in Spain. He is a spectacular signing.’

One can only imagine what Arsenal would be like now if Fabregas had decided to stay. Where would he fit in in the current Arsenal midfield?
