It is being reported this morning (Thursday) by Goal that Arsene Wenger has agreed a new two year deal with Arsenal.

The Gunners’ long-serving French manager is set to formally pen a two-year extension to his current deal, keeping him at the Emirates Stadium until 2016, within weeks

This news will garner mixed reactions from Arsenal fans with some being over the moon that the Frenchman is staying whilst I know there are some who want Wenger to leave Arsenal as they feel his time is up and some new blood is needed at the helm.

The news of Wenger’s new contract comes ahead of Arsenal AGM today where the issue of Wenger’s future is set to be a major talking point together with why Wenger did not buy a quality striker in the summer when he had the funds to do so.

More news to follow as we get it.
