It is a great time to be an Arsenal fan right now! We are winning! Our defence may not be at its best but we are scoring goals and scoring more than the opposition. I would not mind a situation where we go the rest of the season winning 4-3 or 5-3, as long as we win! If that is to happen then we need to keep on scoring and the fears are that if Van Persie gets injured then we are in trouble as all the goals are coming from him.

But reports today are suggesting that Arsene Wenger has realised that if he keeps the goals going in for Arsenal then we will win so he needs more fire power to help Van Persie. German striker Lukas Podolski is being linked with a £20million move to Arsenal.

Arsenal have reportedly been keeping a close eye on the 26-year-old German international as he still has not signed a new deal with his club Cologne. His current contract expires in 2013 thus the speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

However, Podolski himself has said that he is just focusing on Cologne right now.
“I think that hasty statements regarding my future are useless,” Podolski told Cologne-based Express. “I have always kept my future undecided and said that I would need to see how the club develops in the meantime.

“I did not have a single chat with the authorities about my future just yet and I believe that all this contract talk is just to unsettle everyone.”

Do you think Podolski would be a good signing for Arsenal?

Hell yes!! He would be perfect if we ever switched back to a 4-4-2. He was linked with us years back. Good to see Wenger is looking at his options early (if it is tru)

Indeed he would, was at the Cologne-Arsenal game and he looked great. He has also been in amazing form for Germany many times and has tons of experience.

    I hope this is true
