Alexis to earn mega new deal at Arsenal (Mirror)

Gooners have been given some fantastic news this week, as reports are flooding in that superstar Alexis Sanchez is set to pledge his long-term future to Arsenal.

The Mirror reports that Sanchez and his representatives are understood to have agreed a new five-year deal in principle with the club which will see us fend off Real Madrid’s interest in our Chilean talisman.

The 27-year-old has already become a legend at the Emirates, and with Mesut Ozil widely thought to be close to signing a new deal, the Gunners will secure the future of two of their star players and put to bed rumours of mega-money offers for their services.

Arsenal tracking Genoa defender (Mirror)

The Mirror are also reporting that 23-year-old Italian defender Armando Izzi is on Arsene Wenger’s radar. Gunners scouts were apparently watching him in Genoa’s 0-0 draw with Napoli, where he kept other reported target Gonzalo Higuain quiet for the game.

The youngster has been impressive in Seria A this season as Genoa battle relegation and could be available for just £2.5m.

Aubameyang available for a massive price (Metro)

Arsenal have been told it will take £42million to prise away in form Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to the Metro.

The Gabon international is in sublime goal-scoring form this season with an incredible 22 goals in 20 matches so far, and Arsene Wenger is thought to be extremely serious about bringing him to the Emirates.

The £42m price quoted is only £500,000 shy of the club-record fee Arsenal paid for Mesut Ozil, but with Aubameyang a world class, predatory and lethal striker we have been crying out for, it would be money well spent on a player who has scored goals wherever he has played.

Brazilian striker to snub Spurs for Arsenal (Metro)

Arsenal are keen to beat Spurs to the signing of Brazil striker Alexandre Pato, according to reports.

The 26-year-old former Milan star has made it clear in the media he wants a move back to Europe and it is widely thought that Arsenal and Tottenham are set to go head-to-head for the player’s signature.

Pato is a former winner of the Golden Boy award in 2009, and as been linked with Arsenal for numerous transfer windows now. Despite his form dipping from the sensational talent he showed in his best days in Milan, he is still a capable player and with us desperate for reinforcements up front, he could do well at Arsenal and reignite his career.
