Over the summer, some of Arsenal’s best players will represent their country at international level, an experience which should set them up for a genuine challenge for the Premier League next season starting from their first match.

First of all, there’s Arsenal’s defensive stalwart Laurent Koscielny who has been incredible for the team this season and he will be a key man in France’s defensive line and pivotal in their challenge for the competition.

In the attacking third, his club partner Olivier Giroud will have all eyes on him as he looks to find the deadly touch that slightly eluded him during the season. Didier Deschamps has shown total confidence in his ability to score so it will be all about him applying himself during the tournament.

The Gunners’ often-understated midfielder Aaron Ramsey will be the heart of Wales’ side over the summer, getting his first experience in the tournament and he will hope he and forward Gareth Bale team up to really challenge some of the other more high-profile sides during the summer.

Of course, how can we write this article without mentioning one of the Gunners most pivotal midfielders, maestro Mesut Özil who was instrumental in Arsenal’s second place finish with 19 assists. If Germany are going to be any kind of threat, they will need every inch of his creativity and vision on the pitch.

The good news for Gunners fans is that we’ll definitely see them during the summer as they’re all likely to turn out for their respective sides. And, if we’re lucky, we’ll see at least one of them claim the cup.
