In the build-up to a crucial Champions League clash this evening, Jonathan Kaney delves into what seem to be promising developments for the Gunners on the transfer front.

Rabiot demands Arsenal loan (Mirror)

The Mirror reports that PSG starlet Adrian Rabiot could be set for a loan move to Arsenal as Laurent Blanc has become frustrated with the Frenchman’s attitude at PSG.

Blanc is not impressed with his countryman’s vocal desire to leave PSG, telling the media ahead of his sides Champions League game against Shakhtar:
“It annoys me…Adrien has to understand that when you have the possibility of going at the end of your contract and to leave for free, you can do it…Otherwise, when you sign a contract of five years with PSG, you have to respect your first club.”

Rabiot has tough competition to fight against at PSG with the likes of Veratti, Matuidi and Thiaho Motta and has been vocal in his desire to move for first team football.

He’s been long linked with a move to Arsenal and with our midfield desperately short of options, a loan move, or a permanent transfer for the hugely talented 20-year-old would be a welcome boost for the Gunners squad.

Arsenal rekindle Insigne interest (Talksport)

TalkSport report that Arsenal are ready to rekindle their interest in Napoli dynamo Lorenzo Insigne after failing to sign him in 2014.
The 24-year-old has been in superb form for the Serie A club this term, hitting seven goals in 17 appearances.
Arsene Wenger has reportedly sent scouts to Italy to watch him with a view to a January, but although any top class additions to the forward line would be welcome, his lack of height and physicality could be a real problem in the Premier League. I would much rather Arsene made a move for Antoine Griezmann over Insigne.

Moura favours Arsenal switch (Metro)

After struggling for consistent game time in PSG’s expensive squad, the Metro are reporting that Brazilian star Lucas Moura could be available at the end of the season and that Arsenal in particular would be in the front running for his signature due to Arsene Wenger’s presence.

Would definitely like to see this one happen. He has a tremendous amount of skill and talent and would fit perfectly into our style of football.

South American striker eyed by Arsenal (Metro)

The Metro are also reporting that Arsenal officials are set to fly out to Brazil for talks with Palmeiras over a deal for their striker Gabriel Jesus.
The 18-year-old scored 37 goals in 22 matches for Palmeiras’ youth team last season and has gone on to enjoy a stunning breakthrough in the first-team this season, making 17 first-team appearances and scoring five goals. Looks a great prospect for the future.
