Ibrahimovic open to Arsenal transfer (Metro)

Superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has refused to a rule out a transfer to Arsenal in the summer according to the Metro.

Speculation is mounting over his future at PSG with his contract expiring at the end of the season and it’s widely thought the enigmatic striker wants a final challenge in England before he retires, with a Premier League winner’s medal missing from his superb collection.

Since last summer he’s been linked with AC Milan, Manchester United and a move to the MLS, however in an interview with CNN, the 34-year-old was coy when questioned over a potential switch to the Emirates, admitting that talks could take place in the future.

The PSG star also admitted that he has been on the verge of a move to the Premier League before.”I was close (to playing in the Premier League) two times. Arsenal one time. City one time. But it never happened.”

Despite age catching up with him, Zlatan is a born champion, a league winner with every club he’s played for, and would bring a world class quality and presence to our striking position that has been missing since Henry.

He famously said “Zlatan doesn’t do auditions” when Arsene Wenger wanted to take him on trial as a youngster. He certainly wouldn’t need one now. If he was available, I say go all to get to him.

Arsenal hold talks with World Cup wonder-kid (Metro)

Metro are also reporting that the agent of Nigerian wonderkid Kelechi Nwakali has revealed he’s in talks over a move to Arsenal.

The supremely talented Nwakali recently starred at the Under-17 World Cup in Chile and won the Most Valuable Player Award as he captained Nigeria to lift the trophy.

His superb performances and have seen him chased by the likes of Man City, West Ham, Chelsea and Udinese ahead of the January window, however the player is said to favour a move to the Gunners for our style of football.

German international is Arsenal’s prime January target (Mirror)

The Mirror reports that Lars Bender of Bayer Leverkusen will be Arsene Wenger’s number one target to replace the injured Francis Coquelin this January.

The Gunners have long been linked to signing one of the Bender twins – Lars of Leverkusen and Sven of Dortmund – but it seems as if Arsene prefers Leverkusen star Lars over his brother.

The 26-year-old is one of the highest rated defensive midfielders in the Bundesliga and would be a superb addition to the Gunners squad, particularly with him entering his peak years. The German international is a solid and complete holding player with excellent tackling, distribution and vision, and is a player we should go all out for to keep our title push on course.
