Marco Reus

26-year-old Marco Reus is one of the best forwards in the world, scoring over 50 goals in three seasons for Dortmund, despite some hefty amounts of time on the treatment table for injuries.

He scores goals; he glides past defences with ease, he’s skilful, a sensational dribbler, passer, finisher and commits men to create space around him. He is without doubt an elite calibre of player and he would be a perfect striker to lead an attacking line-up of Sanchez, Ozil and Walcott.

Thomas Muller

Muller would be a dream signing for Gooners, but with Bayern firm that no amount of money could persuade them to part with him, it looks like he will stay in Munich for the foreseeable future.

There is however a chink of light for clubs chasing him, as he told the media in the summer that the money on offer from English clubs could tempt him to leave the German giants.

A product of Bayern’s youth system, Müller has moulded into one of the best attackers in the world and is an absolute goal machine. He is built like a tank and has an uncanny ability to score goals out of nothing, with him always seeming to be in the right place at the right time.

He gives defences a torrid time and the idea of him spearheading an attack of Reus, Sanchez and Ozil is a mouth-watering prospect.

Leroy Sane

The talented youngster is thought to be the subject of interest from top clubs across Europe after building on his impressive form last season to score four goals and bag three assists in 12 Bundesliga appearances this term.

The 6-foot winger has all the attributes of a world-class player and a January move for the young German could be on the agenda for Arsene Wenger, who will be looking to snap him up before another elite club does.

Benedikt Howedes

27-year-old World Cup winner Benedilt Howedes has signalled he could leave Schalke in January and is another German player that would be a great addition at the Emirates.

It’s believed the versatile German could be available for just €10m in January and Schalke may be tempted to sell him to get as high a fee as possible. His versatility, experience and solid defensive ability makes him a good option for defensive cover in the squad.

Ilkay Gundogan

25-year-old Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan was one of the central figures in Dortmund’s Bundesliga winning seasons and on the road to their appearance in the Champions League final in 2013.

He was linked with Liverpool, United and us throughout the summer, however after an underwhelming return from injury he ended up staying in Dortmund. He’s an industrious and exceptional central midfield player, and coming into his peak years, he is definitely a German star that could do well at the Emirates.
