3 Tottenham players who would make the cut at Arsenal

|

Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow in the first Premier League North London derby of the season, where the Gunners are expected to win.

Arsene Wenger has a squad to choose from that is far superior to the other side of the North London divide but that’s not to say that Spurs do not have capable, top-class players.

We asked Jonathan Kaney to have a look at Spurs’ squad and choose three players that would make the grade at Arsenal- and some of his choices may rise some eyebrows.

So, sit back, relax and have a gander at three Spurs men who would be welcomed into the Gunners squad. Let us know who’d you take in the comments!

Hugo Lloris

The French keeper was linked with Man United all summer and is arguably Spurs best player. He’s definitely one of the top five keepers in the Premier League and until we signed Cech would definitely be good enough to play for us.

We all know he wants Champions League football that he is never going to get at Spurs. If David De Gea moves to Madrid in the summer or another top club comes in for him, Lloris will be gone.

Christian Eriksen

Eriksen is a decent player – not as good as Spurs fans would have you believe, but he is good and is always worth a goal. He may not get into the first team with us playing so well, but he would definitely be good enough for the squad.
One thing is for sure; there’s not many better than him when it comes to scoring free-kicks. You could bring him on just for that! I think Spurs and Europa league standard is ultimately his limit, though. He may be one of the best in the world with a dead ball, but as an all round player he is not quite good enough to get into top teams.

Son Hueng-Min

Versatile South Korean forward Son will ultimately be a great signing for Spurs and definitely could have done a job for us. He was a goal machine in the Bundesliga and has that Thomas Muller like ability to just appear in the right place at the right time and score goals while making it look effortless.

Again, it would be tough to see how could displace Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott or Giroud, but he is definitely a step up from Joel Campbell. If he plays as well in England as he did in Germany, at just 23 Spurs will be his stepping stone to better things. Who knows? One day maybe us.
