Interesting statistics released by EA Sports today show that Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League.
Since arriving from London rivals Chelsea over the summer, Cech has been a mainstay in the Arsenal side and has quickly impressed; as he narrows down the all-time clean sheet record in the Premier League.
Achieving that feat is only a matter of time but the data suggests Cech will set a new record sooner rather than later, as he concedes a goal every 112.5 minutes in the Premier League and makes a league-high 4.5 saves for every goal conceded!
With 37 saves this season, a number only Stoke City’s Jack Butland can better, Cech has featured in all 900 minutes of Arsenal’s Premier League campaign; keeping clean sheets against Manchester United, Watford, Liverpool and more.
There’s no doubt Arsenal spent well on the 35-year-old and the Gunners are already 5 points better off than they were at this stage last season!
