Hector Bellerin is a Spanish full back that is a product of the famous La Masia academy in Barcelona. Bellerin moved to London to play for Arsenal when he was just 16-years-old. When Bellerin arrived at Arsenal, he proved his pace against arguably the fastest player Arsenal have ever boasted. Bellerin broke Theo Walcott’s 40-metre sprint record with a time of 4.41 seconds. Despite Walcott’s time of 4.42 seconds which is only one hundredth of a second slower, Bellerin was crowned the fastest player at the Emirates Stadium. Now at the age of 20, Bellerin is continuing to make headlines for all the right reasons.  Recently, Bellerin scored against Liverpool to put the Gunners 1-0 up in a fixture which firmly places Arsene Wenger’s side in the driving seat to finish in the top four. He calmly cut into the box and curled it around the Liverpool keeper. At just 20-years-of-age, Bellerin has all the attributes to develop into an accomplished full back who can become Arsenal’s go-to guy at right back for many years to come. Now that Arsene Wenger has introduced Bellerin into the squad, many fans are beginning to forget Bacary Sagna altogether who left the club on a free transfer to Manchester City. What’s more, we haven’t even mentioned Mathieu Debuchy yet to boot!
