Lucas Moura is a young Brazilian attacking midfielder who is now a potential transfer target for Arsenal. The Brazilian is currently applying his trade in France for mega wealthy Paris Saint-Germain. Despite his evident talent, Lucas has been unable to play regularly due to the amount of super stars that the club has brought in over the years. Lucas has featured 65 times during the past three seasons which is not enough for the 22-year-old wonderkid to fully utilise his potential.
If Arsenal were to purchase the Brazilian, Arsene Wenger would have to sell some players who occupy the same position. Players such as Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Santi Cazorla, Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez all compete to play on either wing and Lucas would create a surplus of players capable of playing in these two positions.
However with rumors of Cazorla and Walcott exiting the club this summer, Lucas might be a good option to explore for the Gunners. His flair and speed would be welcomed at the Emirates Stadium and would further aid Arsenal in challenging for the Premier League title. Lucas would cost in excess of £25 million but the Brazilian is still young and could prove a sound investment.
