In recent weeks, Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling has reportedly refused a new contract from his club in an attempt to raise his wages astronomically. This contract refusal has alerted multiple clubs who would be eager to add Sterling to their respective squads.

Sterling is a pacey forward who can play as a winger, attacking midfielder, and striker. The young Englishman, who will be 20 in December, has already cemented a spot in the English national team and has made 14 appearances for the Three Lions.

Arsenal would be one of many teams interested in the talented youngster. Unfortunately, Arsenal currently has a deep squad in the forward position and Sterling would not be guaranteed playing time. He would be competing against Danny Welbeck, Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for a spot in the forward line.

Sterling’s apparent contract disagreement is always likely to put clubs on alert but Arsenal will surely have to offer an exorbitant fee for the young forward. Sterling still has two years on his contract and is unlikely to depart to Arsenal unless they can offload a forward to generate cash for a transfer fee and guarantee playing time.
