Ending the 2013/2014 season with a FA Cup triumph over Hull City, securing Champions League football for another year and having a quartet of returning World Cup heroes. Arsenal 2014/2105 season was looking great especially with the early purchases of players like Sanchez, Chambers, Debuchy, Ospina , Welbeck and the return of Campbell, combined with the mixture of quality that was already at Arsenal, an assault on the Barclays Premier League was definitely on the cards.

Fast forward to the start of the 2014/2015 season, and all that was expected and craved from this bunch of Arsenal player is yet to materialize and as left us committed fans frustrated. Arsenal has failed to put a single run of consistent games together. There is talk about players still getting used to playing regularly with each other, but Sanchez and Welbeck look to me like they have been at Arsenal for years.

So what is the cause for Arsenal to be having this poor run in form? These are the same group of players that were expected to be challenging for the Championship and putting pressure on the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City. Of course injuries have been far less kind to Arsenal this year than any other year, hence Arsenal is having its worst ever start to a Barclays Premier League season. However there is still cause for optimism in 2015.

The start of 2015 is a good cause for optimism with Arsenal treatment room looking less crowded, with the return of a host of first team players.

This Christmas period of games will most definitely be the springboard that Arsenal need at the moment and if they can capitalize on these points on offer Arsenal will be fighting for more than just fourth come May.
