Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp says that Arsenal fans wouldn’t want him to replace manager Arsene Wenger.
Klopp has been touted as Wenger’s long-term replacement at the Emirates, rumours that have gathered pace in recent weeks by virtue of the Gunners’ lacklustre form.
However, the German saw his side go down 2-0 to Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday night, and the 47-year-old says that he might have failed the audition.
“I don’t think, after seeing how my team performed at the Emirates Stadium, the Arsenal fans want me on the bench,” he’s quoted by Mediaset Premium.
“Arsenal have one of the best coaches in the world and I’m also at one of the best clubs in the world. I’m thankful for all the praise, but my future is Dortmund.”
Earlier this week, The Gooner looked at why Klopp may not be the best man to replace the Frenchman in North London.
