Arsenal have been boosted by the news that defender Laurent Koscielny has resumed full training ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund.
The 29-year-old has been out of action since early October due to an Achilles injury, with left-back Nacho Monreal forced to partner Per Mertesacker in the middle of defence for the last eight games.
However, the France international is nearing a return to first-team action and could even feature in the visit of Dortmund to the Emirates, according to The Metro.
Mertesacker and Koscielny have struck up perhaps the best defensive partnership that we have seen in about a decade, so The Gooner believes that his return will undoubtedly quell the criticism levelled at us in recent weeks.
