Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that Petr Cech has no intentions of joining London rivals Arsenal in January.
Speculation is rife that the Czech goalkeeper was keen on securing a £7m move to the Emirates Stadium after falling behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order in West London.
But Mourinho has today played down the “mickey mouse” rumours and insists that the 32-year-old – whose contract expires in 2016 – has not courted interest from other clubs – including the Gunners.
“On which Mickey Mouse website? On which Mickey Mouse blog?” the Portuguese told reporters today. “Some websites don’t even know where they get their stories. I have zero proposals for Petr Cech.
“Petr has a contract for two more years, he’s a fantastic professional. Not once has he knocked on my door to inform me about his desire to accept some proposal. I promise you that what I’m telling you is the truth.”
