Which Arsenal star is keen to leave in January?

Lukas Podolski has admitted that he is not happy at Arsenal over a lack of first-team chances and talks up a move over a January exit.

The 29-year-old has started just one game for us this season – the 2-1 League Cup defeat to Southampton in September – and the Germany World Cup winner reveals that he is losing patience.

Speculation is rife that Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are planning a winter swoop for Lukas, who says that he will assess his situation in the coming months.

“I am not happy with the situation at the moment. It would be wrong to suggest that I am,” Podolski told reporters.

“I still have fun playing football but when the competitive element of it is taken away from me, the one I enjoy so much, then I am not happy.

“I have to think about will happen this winter and will look to hold talks with the club.”

The Gooner would be sad to see Lukas leave the club because it is obvious that he has well and truly bought into life at the Emirates during his two-year stay so far, but we can understand his frustrations.

Signed from Cologne for a reported £12m, Podolski scored 16 times and bagged 11 assists in his first season in North London – the 2012-13 campaign – and scored 12 goals in 18 starts for us last term.

It does not seem right that a player with those kind of statistics has struggled for chances this season, does it?
