Where to now for Arsenal with this unlucky hand?

Arsenal’s heavy fixture list in February and March is set to continue after the Gunners were drawn with Liverpool in the FA Cup 5th round. The next round of the historic cup also saw Man City playing against Chelsea, meaning the current top 4 of the Premier League will play against each other. Arsenal already have tough consecutive games coming up, after being drawn against Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League. The following is the fixture list for Arsenal in February.

Feb 8th: Liverpool (A)
Feb 12th: Man Utd (H)
Feb 15th: Liverpool (H) – FA Cup
Feb 19th: Bayern Munich (H)

The only silver lining in those games is that 3 of them will be played at home. That’s a difficult game every 3 or 4 days. We will need a big squad and hope everyone is fit in that period. The last time Arsenal had a difficult set of fixtures, we dropped a lot of points (when we played Everton, Man City and Chelsea back-to-back) so let’s hope it doesn’t happen again this time.

We have already beaten Liverpool once this season at home, so whose to say that won’t happen again. Arsenal look favorites to sign Julian Draxler this month. However, he is currently injured, so he won’t feature for most of the games mentioned above. Giroud will be a key figure during that period and keeping him fit is essential. Arsenal traditionally have a strong second half to the season. After having an excellent first half, lets all hope the second part of this season is every bit as good.
