One surprise change upfront: How Arsenal should line up against Aston Villa

|

With all the other teams around Arsenal winning this weekend, Arsenal simply have to get all three points today against Aston Villa at Villa Park.

It will not be an easy game at all and we must not forget that Villa beat us at the Emirates on the opening day of the season and they are desperate for points right now to avoid relegation.

Arsenal will be rocked with the news that Theo Walcott is out for the rest of the season as he had been in fine form before his injury upfront. But now Arsene Wenger has Olivier Giroud back from his ankle injury but I am nit sure he will risk playing him from the start tonight and thus I predict a surprise inclusion upfront for Lukas Podolski.

The German forward has also been out long term with an injury but is not back in full training with the squad and this could be the perfect opportunity to give him a run and prove to Wenger and the rest of the fans that he can fill in for the injured Walcott and increase the Gunners attacking options.

As for the rest of the team: Szczesny will continue in goal with a back four off Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny and Monreal. Gibbs is still out injured thus Monreal will continue to deputize for him.

In midfield, Wenger should go with Arteta and Wilshere in the middle of the park with Ozil, Carzola and Gnabry infront of them whilst Podolski leads the line.

Then if need be in the second half, Wenger can opt to bring in Giroud off the bench.

Who do you think should start for Arsenal against Aston Villa?
