Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will be seeking a loan deal for winger Ryo Miyaichi in January.

The Arsenal manager admitted that the 21-year-old Japanese starlet is in need of more first team action, having featured just five times for the Gunners this season. A player of his talents needs to be playing more regularly, especially at this stage in his career.

Miyaichi has been sent out on loan in the the past three times with the last one being at Wigan last season. Wenger has admitted that he will look into sending Miyaichi out on loan for the fourth time in January in a bid for regular first team football.

“He needs to play in the second half of the season,” Wenger said.

“If I find a good opportunity for him, I will consider it.”

Miyaichi has been linked with a return loan bid with Wigan in recent weeks, while there are several Premier League sides desperate to strengthen before the window closes.

With all the talk at Arsenal right now being around Walcott’s injury and which players are Arsenal going to sign to replace him, it may be worth taking a second and wonder if Miyaichi may not be given an opportunity now in the Arsenal first team following Theo’s injury.

Wenger is known for giving young players a chance in the first team and this could be the perfect chance for the young winger to make his mark. Do you think it is a good idea to give Ryo a chance now?
