Arsenal have been give an injury boost ahead of Saturday’s match against Cardiff, left back Kieran Gibbs has been declared fit to play by Arsene Wenger has he missed the Marseille tie in midweek. Monreal came in for Gibbs and did a good job but Gibbs is most likely to retain his place in the starting lineup.

Wenger also gave us an update on Podolski and Oxlade-Chamberlain on Arsenal.com:

on the team news for Cardiff…
No, nothing is different from Marseille really. We have no injuries. Of course we have some little concerns. People were a little bit rested like Arteta but they are all available now.

on Gibbs..
Kieran Gibbs was sick but he has already recovered yesterday. He is now back in the squad.

on Podolski’s progress…
It will be three weeks until we could see him in the team.

on Oxlade-Chamberlain…
it will be the New Year for him.
