Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Greek striker Konstantinos Mitroglou from Olympiakos for £7million according to The Sunday Express.

We all know that Arsenal need another striker if we are to keep on challenging on all fronts. Reports are also linking us with a bid for Luis Suarez again in January but I think that Suarez boat has come and gone and we will not get the Liverpool striker and instead we should focus on other options.

Mitroglou who is also being chased by Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Genoa seems to be a more realistic option for Arsenal as he has a decent transfer fee and he is not too old, he is 25-years old, and that is the kind of player we know Wenger to buy.

Having already scored four hat-tricks this season for Olympiakos, it is a clear sign that he knows where to find the back of the net. We should know Mitroglou very well as he scored against us at The Emirates in the Champions League last season.

We all want that big name marquee signing such as Benzema but we should remember how conservative Wenger is in the transfer market. Yes he splashed the cash on Ozil but I can not see him splashing out millions again on a single player. He will probably go back to his old way which we know well and buy cheap players with potential such as Mitroglou.
