With the January transfer rumours already starting to go around, one player who Arsenal can be sure will not be joining them is Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan. The brilliant stopper has been linked with a move to Arsenal as we look to get a top class number one but Guzan says he is happy at Aston Villa.

‘Aston Villa, they’ve stuck by me, especially the manager,’ said Guzan.

‘He’s given me a chance to play consistent football in Europe. It’s always nice when you’re linked with other teams, but for me, I’m very happy at Aston Villa.’

‘Villa is a club that I think is definitely on the rise, and it’s something I want to be a part of,’ he continued.

‘We’re aiming high this season and want to finish high in the table.’

Guzan would be a great keeper to have at Arsenal but if he does not want to leave Villa then that is fine. Our search much continue for another World Class goalkeeper. One such player we should really try get is Pepe Reina.

The Liverpool goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past. Now that he is on loan to Napoli and the Italian side have said they will not sign him on a permanent basis, Arsenal should step in an offer him a deal. Yes, Reina wants to go to Barcelona but the Spanish giants may rather opt for Thibaut Courtois from Atletico Madrid / Chelsea which would leave Reina in the cold.

I don’t think the focus should be on a goalkeeper. Viviano has been brought in for a whole season loan, so depending on his performance, we could sign him up a contract next season.
