Following the great start to the season Arsenal have had, there are now reports that Wenger will be offered a new three year contract to remain at Arsenal.
I know there are many fans who continue to call for Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal and we bring in a new younger manager with fresh ideas but truth be told, Wenger has not done much wrong this season so far. Yes he dragged his feet a bit during the summer transfer window and only bought in Ozil at the last minute when we wanted more quality signings. But the fact that he went out to sign Ozil for big money shows that he is not affraid to spend big anymore and I am sure he will surprise us again this January with another big name signing.
Giving Wenger a new three year deal is a good move as it will instill confidence to the current players who are used to Wenger. The French manager still has an influence in the world of football and is able to convince world class players to join the club. Bringing in a new manager now would be a step backwards for the Gunners. I say, give him a new deal, give him three more years, and he will bring us silverware.
