It has been reported that Arsenal are keeping a very close eye on German striker Lukas Podolski as we looking to get more firepower upfront to partner Van Persie or to step in when our captain gets injured.
Podolski would be a great signing for Arsenal as he can also play on the left but now Lazio have entered the race to sign the striker according to the Metro.
They believe that Lazio want to sign Podolski so that he can link up with former Bayern Munich teammate Miroslav Klose.
Wenger is going to have to act fast if he wants to sign Podolski despited his current club, Cologne, saying they do not want to sell him.
“Lukas Podolski is our most valuable player at the moment. We want him to enjoy life at our club. And we will surely explore all possibilities to make him stay at Cologne in the future,” said manager Volker Finke.
