Arsenal edge closer to signing Eden Hazard

Lille sensation Eden Hazard has recently revealed that he’ll move abroad at the end of the season, leaving the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Liverpool and Manchester United on red alert.

The highly-rated 20-year-old Belgian winger is contracted to the Ligue 1 club until 2015, but told French publication L’Equipe recently:
‘I feel ready to make it to the next level at a big club.’
‘I stayed in Lille this season because there were still things I had to work on, things to prove. But now, I’m ready.’

Big-spending PSG looked favourites to land the tricky forward from Lille next summer, but the youngster now looks more likely to sign for a major club abroad, with Real Madrid, Arsenal and United looking odds on favourite to acquire his signature.

Hazard added:
‘Paris is not for now. Paris is magical, as they say. Of course it attracts me, but for now, no. In France I do not want to build a rival club to Lille.’
‘After France, I want to go abroad.’

Whilst I remain hopeful that we could land Hazard next summer, purely for the fact that Arsenal is the place to be if you’re an up and coming star, for some reason I think the Belgian will favour a move to Real, as it is one of the biggest clubs in world football.

Fingers crossed that Arsene Wenger can do the business and acquire the talented winger.
