Reports in Spain are suggesting that Arsenal are set to bid for out of favour Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero next summer as Wenger continues to rebuild his midfield.
Granero who is 24-years-old came through the ranks at Real Madrid but was sold to Getafe in 2007 but he returned to Madrid after two great seasons at Getafe. But Granero only started eight games for Jose Mourinho last season and could see his chances restricted even further this term following the summer arrivals of Nuri Sahin and Hamit Altintop.
This will prompt Wenger to make a move for Granero who is capable of playing just behind the striker or in a more attack minded midfield role, something similar to how Fabregas played for us.
