We may desperately need a centre-back and some central midfielders but it seems like we are going to sign a striker first. Arsenal are on the verge of signing South Korea captain Park Chu-Young, 26, from under the noses of Lille for £10million.
Monaco striker Park will have a medical in London and Lille president Michel Seydoux said: “He’s left for England, clearly for Arsenal.”
It was thought that Park would be joining Lille but it seems we have hijacked that move at the 11th hour.
Park is not only a good striker but from a business perspective it will be great as he will increase the Arsenal brand in his home country.
Tell me why this is a suposed good deal?
Because as far as I can tell he’s not a match for RVP and we already have 3 strikers (Chamakh, Vela and Bendtner) that can’t get into the team as it is.
£10m for another bench warmer. Ace move.
It’s clearly impossible to please Arsenal fans. First you clamour for the need to bring in a backup to RVP and now when Wenger does exactly that they get on his back for ‘wasting’ money. Make up your minds. He’s a striker with experience and leadership qualities – isn’t that what everybody wanted? Oh and bendtner is expected to leave shortly and Vela is out on loan.

I don’t undertsatnd how you CAN comment on That when you don’t even follow the team. Vela went on loan, bendtener Will be sold and chamakh Will leave us with gervinho on january because of CAN so we need a striker.
