[Video] Evidence that Arsenal are still a force to be reckoned with

|

After last nights win over Udinese, I feel very happy and proud this morning to be a Gooner! The pressure was on Arsenal last night, with all the off-field chaos at our club with players leaving we faced a must win game against Udinese to qualify for the Champions League. Our task was made even harder when we went a goal down but we pulled it back and that just shows that we are still a team capable of winning.

The turning point in the game for me was when Wojciech Szczesny saved the penalty. If that penalty had gone in, Udinese may have gotten their tails up and gone on to score another. But that miss seemed to deflate them and we went on to play well and score the winner thanks to Theo.

Winning 2-1 away from home in a must win game must give all the fans and players a massive lift. Now hopefully we can build from this and go into the game on Sunday against Manchester United with confidence.

After the game, Wenger had this to say, “I feel, of course, it will because we have been a little bit under pressure. For us not to play in the Champions League and with the players who have left, that pressure would have increased, understandably. Since the beginning of the season I feel a very strong, determined attitude within the team. We did not win at Newcastle but we played with 10 men. We did lose at Liverpool with 10 men but I am convinced that we would not have lost against Liverpool with 11. Overall, there is a strong attitude and spirit inside the team.? ?

“It was important today because we were under pressure so it was important to keep calm, composed and not do anything stupid.”

As before Djourou is no defender. He is the all time ball watcher.

Am so happy, so glad. Thank God we qualified. Something tell me that if Wenger signs three quality players, Arsenal will win at least a trophy this season. God bless Arsenal F C and fans.

I just hope this does not paper over the cracks. Djourou probably is not the best centre half, however, Di Natale is an awesome striker and thankfully you only come up against players of that level when you play United, City and Liverpool as well as Champions League. Hopefully, Kos will be back on Sunday and we can push Djourou into the DM role. Unless of course we can bring someone in quickly. Assuming no new faces and kos is fit i would line up like this on Sunday
    Chezzer
    Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Traore
    Djourou Ramsey
    Walcott Chamberlain Ryo
    Van Persie

Yes i would unleash the pace of Theo, Alex and Ryo on United’s back 4.

We are not expected to win so we have nothing to lose. If we get some goals, we would have players like Rosicky, Arshavin, Chamakh to add some experience from the bench, have to say though i would sell all 3!!
