There have been far too many unfair attacks on our manager from the media and some ‘fans’ recently which are just undermining the manager and team and are just adding more unneccessary pressure. It’s time for us true supporters to stand up for our manager and our club in this difficult time.

We stand behind the man who has revolutionised not only our great club, but also English football in general with his training techniques and general approach to football, and who has also produced teams that have played some of the best and most enjoyable football in the history of the game. We firmly believe that this man deserves more respect than he is getting and that football in general in this Country owes him a great deal. Perhaps no one other individual has contributed more to the advancement of English football during the last 20 years.

TO ALL ARSENAL FANS
Open your minds for a few minutes and listen to me. Forget for a moment that you are anti-Wenger OR Pro- Wenger, or AKB, or Wenger-hater.
Just listen (do not take it textually) to the following:
1. A couple months ago there was a post which circulated and it mainly hinted that Wenger was given another year by the board for his youth project.
2. A couple of weeks ago Hill-Wood said that it was very probable that AFC will not win any trophy this year again.
3. Last week Wenger and Hill-Wood again said we are going to spend if we find the right players (they said the same thing Last year and in January 2011).
4. Yesterday Wenger told the press that buying players will not necessarily bring about a winning team.
5. We also have to remember that Stan was in London around one month ago for a special meeting. On the agenda was the issue to discuss the financial risks associated with investing on high priced players.
6. The timing for selling Fabregas and that for Nasri runs down to the final weeks of the transfer window.
7. Deals for Cahill, Mata, Hazard, etc have run out of favour as the window is soon to close.
This is a perfectly calculated scenario. However what was not foreseen was the long injury list. The replacement of Fabregas by Ramsey, backing up of Song by Frimpong, replacement of Bendner by Ryo Miyaichi has all been planned in detail by Wenger.
The master plan also consists of players (even Vermalen) boasting to win the title this year (as they do every year) and each one at a time gives a declaration to the press about their commitment to the team, their dedication and that they also feel they are ready to step up. That is all ok except that in reality they are not ready, they have no dedication and they do not need to lie to fans who are paying for their salary. They should show their dedication on the field, their ability when playing against tough opponents and most importantly they cannot assure us of their strength through their mouth.
THAT’S WHAT WENGER DOES WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT. He gives us a verbal assurance of the team’s ability and once the players are on the field they fail lamentably. THEY ARE DOOMED TO FAIL BECAUSE WENGER IS MORE WORRIED ABOUT THE BUSINESS MODEL THAN THE FOOTBALLISTIC PERSPECTIVE. THE BOARD IS MORE INCLINED TOWARDS KEEPING THE MONEY SAFELY IN THE BANK THAT SPENDING IT IN REBUILDING THE TEAM.
Players have been brought in this year, but they are meant for the business model, i.e Campbell, Chamberlain are investments just like Fabregas. Around 15 million for each one, we are not even sure if they will one day be worth more than has been invested. Why? BECAUSE the plan is about making money and you have to invest and take risks to get high dividends afterwards. So this type of transaction is very easy at Arsenal but the other one buying strong and already made players will never be on Wenger’ and the board’s agenda.
SO THERE IS ONLY ONE THING WE CAN DO AS FANS IF WE WANT OUR TEAM TO LAND IN THE TOP FOUR THIS YEAR (WE SHOULD NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT WINNING THE TITLE NOW). WE HAVE TO HURT THEM AT THE PURSE LEVEL. WE HAVE TO REFRAIN OURSELVES TO GO THE EMIRATES HOWEVER MUCH THAT HURT US AS FANS. THEY HAVE TO GET THE MESSAGE: “AFC WILL LOSE MORE MONEY IF THEY DO NOT SPEND SOME FUCKING MONEY AND REPLACE THE DEPARTING PLAYERS WITH QUALITY’’.
WE ALL HAVE TO BE ON THE SAME WAVELENGTH (AKB, ANTIWENGER, LIFE LONG SEASON TICKET HOLDERS, OPTIMISTS ETC). WE HAVE ONLY 10 DAYS REMAINING. WE HAVE TO ACT NOW.

As soon as Arsene let the buy out clause on Juan Mata run out I knew there would be no big signings. Time has run out now to bring any new players in as clubs don’t have time to replace them. After Bendtner and Nasri have left, along with Cesc, Clichy, Eboue, the club would have made a cool £80 million even after buying in Oxlade and Jenkinson and there is no way that is gonna b spent on new players. As much as I will like to drum up some support for Mr. Wenger, we shouldn’t run away from the impotence of our current team. While Mr. Wenger has on numerous occasions and fora, shouted his “commitment” to d team but my question is what sort of “commitment”. We keep losing d better players in d team and we bring in players who to me are best described as “average” and we think its gonna work!! Its only natural if u try s same rote singular thing to achieve a result and u don’t get results, then u should try ur hands on some other methods of achieving d same result. Wenger has been great for us over the years and I thank him for those years he has given us but I dont see us getting any better with him in charge. I have been one of the majority of fans that back Wenger through thick and thin but lately I am edging towards the dark side. I have just lost all hope for my club I just dont see where we are going!? I hate the fact that im questioning le boss and im sick to death of everyone clinging on to his great history. Its time we stop looking to the past glories and the future potential and start to concentrate on the here and now because 13 points out of our last 13 prem games is relegation form not champions form! And being at the club for as long as he has, he has no one to blame for our incredibly thin squad other than himself! Quite frankly I can’t see us making europa league next season let alone challenging for the championship and champions league unless wenger spends some serious money! You have also written well. But we must understand that AFC is bigger than us, the manager, the board and the players. Our concern should be to seek solution for the development of the club and not an individual. @ken’s comment is in many sense very true, the board and Wenger are busy packing up money while the fans groan in agony. The same fans that mint this cash for them. The Newcastle match was an anomaly, a disgrace. I have read Wenger say we do not need another defender, common guys that is pure madness. How do you sell a top class defender, clichy, sell a make shift one, ebou, sell a world class midfielder, fabregas, about to sell another world class midfielder, Nasir ( even if Wenger insist he stays, his heart is no longer with us) and yet you can not buy a single world class defender and midfielder, THAT IS ABSOLUTE MADNESS. Last season after the end we knew we needed at least o e defender and an attacker. Fine, he buys gervinho, an attacker but no defender. Then he sells when we need more players and refuses to add. Wenger cannot bring out a good sum and buy a player and yet he would be glad to accept huge amounts for other clubs when they come calling for our players. THIS IS PAINFULLY. I am an African, we support AFC with so much passion and a lot of are ready to pass through thick and thin with the club but the manager and the board should be more responsible to their duties.

I have been an Arsenal fan for more than 40yrs and I am a season ticket holder, but this is easily the worst Arsenal side in the last 4 decades. I am fed up with Wenger’s ridiculous experiments and preposterous philosophies. He dismantled the Invincibles yet he had no plan to replace the talent. Arsenal fans need to get behind the team now more than ever, whining and name calling won’t get us the glory we are craving for. Its true the squad is thin but that is something that can be fixed.
Destroy the belief in the team and you will realise some stuff are irreversible. It won’t matter who you buy! Guys needs to stay focused and avoid the temption to worship a media that is wading in mediocrity.

I am a loyal fan but we must admit it AW and the Board have lost the plot. The strategy of only recruiting young players has failed. They are incapable of winning trophies and once they are mature they want to leave the club. We have become a “selling club” and that is the source of the profits. The Board is happy because the value of the club keeps increasing. But the fans are unhappy because we are not winng the trophies. No one is bigger than the club – not even AW. We need a change of strategy. One that mixes young players with world class experienced ones. One that invests profints in the team not the pockets of the Board. AW has been good for AFC but its time for a change.
