Some good news coming our of Arsenal today, the club have confirmed the signing of Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell from Costa Rican side Saprissa. Arsenal.com confirmed this news by saying:
Joel Campbell has been confirmed as an Arsenal player, with all formal agreements and processes relating to his transfer now complete. Campbell, 19, who joins the Gunners fresh from representing Costa Rica at the U-20 World Cup in Colombia, is also a regular with his senior national team. Everyone at Arsenal Football Club would like to welcome the young striker to the Club and look forward to his contributions to the team.
I am looking forward to seeing how Campbell does at the club. We have had some great strikers at Arsenal in the past and right now we need someone else to come in and help van Persie score the goals. Campbell may not be the solution right now but hopefully in two or three seasons time he could be our main man up-front.
