Thomas Vermaelen captains Arsenal against Udinese

|

Thomas Vermaelen captains Arsenal tonight against Udinese as new club captain Robin Van Persie is suspended for the game. Nasri is also missing but i guess he is happy with this so he is not cupped tied if he moves to Manchester City. Arsene Wenger is also banned from the touchline for this match so we will have to rely a lot on what he said to the team before the game and what Pat Rice will do on the touchline.

Theo Walcott and Marouane Chamakh come into the Arsenal starting lineup. Chamakh replaces the suspended Robin van Persie in attack while Walcott starts on the right in place of Andrey Arshavin.

Team in full: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Song, Ramsey, Walcott, Rosicky, Gervinho, Chamakh

Subs: Fabianski, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Djourou, Arshavin, Jenkinson, Frimpong, Bendtner

I will take any win for us as long as Udinese do not score. Even 0-0 will not be a bad result for Arsenal.

Even though we won 1-0 it still is a win and we will have RVP next game also hopefully we won’t have to use 2 subs for one position
