All we have been hearing this summer is news on Nasri and Fabregas wanting to leave Arsenal, but for a change today, we are hearing of a player who wants to stay at Arsenal and is fully committed to the cause. These are the kind of players we want at the club!
Andrei Arshavin has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer, with reports suggesting he could be moving to Real Madrid but the 30-year-old has quashed that suggestion and instead wants to stay at the Emirates.
“They are things invented on the internet,” he told the Evening Standard. “More than one time I have said that this season I will play in Arsenal colours. I would not play for Real Madrid for all the money in the world. For me, Real is a complete taboo because I’m an admirer of Barcelona.”
Arshavin did not have the best of seasons last term but hopefully this coming season he will be back on form and could step up if Fabregas and Nasri leave.
Hardly encouraging. Sounds as if he’d bolt if Barca showed the first sign of interest. If he was Arsenal, the club he’d NEVER join is spurs.

i strongly agreed with the people who were clamouring that cesc & nasr should be allowed to go, bcos these players as we all can see are tired of bn a star without nothing to show for it, i mean without hanging any medalware. let them go to a the club where there there sweat will be meaningful. & maybe wenger & his crue in the board of directors should keep on using fans to make money without considering the large sum of money every one of them looses in each passing season. wenger pls re-think!
