The Arsenal team photo for this season will be taken today (Thursday) and Cesc Fabregas will be in the picture as captain. There were suggestions that Arsenal may take two photo’s, one with Cesc and one without him and Van Persie as the captain. This speculation has been quashed and only one photo will be taken with Cesc in it. Why wouldn’t he be in it? He is still our captain after all and still an Arsenal player. Until Barcelona cough up the money we want for him, he has no choice but to still do what he would do as an Arsenal player.
I just hope that this whole Fabregas drama does not spoil our team. Already there has been too much said and done and as much as Wenger may deny it, this must have some kind of effect on the squad.
Fabregas resumed training this week following a hamstring injury and he is expected to make his first pre-season appearance in Saturday’s friendly against Benfica in Portugal.
