You have to laugh at times when you come across some of the transfer rumours making the rounds this summer. The latest one today involving Arsenal is a player coming in for a change rather than the continual talk of who is leaving Arsenal. Footybunker (who I do not trust at all, but make for enjoyable reading) are suggesting that Arsene Wenger is lining up a shock summer move for French international winger Franck Ribery.
Now if this rumour is true at all, this would be a good buy for Arsenal in my opinion especially if Fabregas and / or Nasri leave, we need another big name marquee signing to come to the club and Ribery fits the bill.
As Ribery is now 28-years-old he would provide the kind of experience we need in the squad. Ribery was rated as one of the hottest players in Europe a few seasons back and I believe he still has it in him to be a world class player. Ribery must be frustrated at Bayern Munich right now as the German giants seems to be slipping away as they did not win the Bundesliga and not doing well in the Champions League last season. Maybe a new change is what Ribery needs after 4 years at the club.
A fee of £22million is being mooted and in today’s transfer that is not too bad for a player of Ribery’s quality. What do you think of the possibility of Ribery joining Arsenal? Good or bad move?
I think Ribery will be a good buy and also a perfect replacement for the departing fabrigas and contract rebel nasri.But we still need a defender either CAHILL or SAMBA.

buying ribery wud be a waste of money. In my opinion our midfield is strong enough with song nasri wilshere gervinho arshavin and all them, what we need is 2 top central defenders.

Ribery is rubbish. I would rather have Robben than a player that dissapears in big matches. Why is it that we are only linked with french players or players playing in france. Wenger! there are many more leagues and countries around the world!
I will like tn see ribery play for my dear arsenal not the solution to our problem with a good defender like cahil or sambar to make the defence stronger than before and a replacement for clich.

if and when cesc leaves, there is only one player in the world that can take his place, arda turan, galatasaray midfield general, he is faster than cesc,trickier,heading ability,shooting, tackling and not as injury prone as our el capitan. and to top it cheaper as well.

I doubt this is true. If it was to happen I wouldn’t mind as he is a quality player and maybe could also be a reason for Nasri to sign a new contract.

I think d aquisation of frank ribery is a very good one but he his prone to injury unless if d club can manage him properly

Plus why would a player linked with Madrid a year ago for 70 million, be now worth 25 million?? Seems a bit dodgy to me.
We need a genuine striker, Benzema would be much better, and would command a similar price and probably want less wages as he is younger and still has a lot to prove.
For me, I hope that if there is any truth in these rumours I hope that it is a classic wenger smokescreen, because al my gooner instincts say this is a bad move for us.
