Pep Guardiola has spoken out about the potential Cesc Fabregas deal. Arsenal said that the Spanish team have not offered enough for the midfielder but Pep insists that a negotiation can be reached between the two clubs.
“Last year we were interested in Cesc but Arsenal did not make him available,” he told a press conference.
“This year Arsenal have agreed to negotiate and we’re working on it. Prices in the market are what they are right now, but I hope that everything can be resolved.”
He added: “Everything we have done has been with permission of Arsenal and Mr Wenger knows that.”
It is understood that Barcelona have offered £26million but Arsenal are holding out for £40million. Whether a deal can be negotiated waits to be seen as the two prices seem to be miles apart.

If prevailing situations were to be reversed and Fabregas were a Barca player, Guardiola would not have tagged him anything less than £60m. Players with far less pedigree have cost more. It is a wonder that Wenger has tagged him at only £40milliom.
So they made one bid a long time ago which was rejected immediately because it was peanuts. Since then they’ve told anyone that’ll listen how Arsenal aren’t letting him go without even trying to match the asking price. They really are laughable,
