Finally, some very good news for Arsenal fans for a change. Arsene Wenger has finally spoken out about our new signing Gervinho.
“Gervinho has just joined up for training today at London Colney,” Wenger said at a press conference on Arsenal’s pre-season tour to Kuala Lumpur. “He signed last Thursday, and has just come back from his holidays.”
The Ivory Coast international notched 15 goals and 10 assists to help the French side to their first league title in 57 years last term, and joins for a fee believed to be £10.6million.
It would have been great for Gervinho to be part of the Far East tour so he could start to play with his new teammates. Now that Gervinho is an Arsenal player, we hope we can can continue to move on in the transfer market and make a couple more signings.
Gervinho is Arsenal’s second signing of the summer following on from the capture of youngster Carl Jenkinson.
