Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega has revealed that Arsenal are among the clubs chasing his signature. Arsenal are in the market for another striker having virtually signed Gervinho already, Wenger still needs some more fire power upfront.
Rodallega may not be the big name signing some fans want such as Benzema or Eto’o but what you will get from Rodallega is a quality striker who already has Premier League experience. All too often, strikers from outside England play well in other leagues but they struggle when they get into the Premier League. Arsenal may spend millions on Benzema or Eto’o but who knows, they could flop.
“Arsenal are interested in me and this is a club I have always liked,” Rodallega said. “There are many teams interested, it’s true. Villarreal, Sevilla, Arsenal also have some interest, Everton of England.
“There is a lot of speculation but my future at this moment is at Wigan. I have signed for one more year in Wigan but if the club decides on my sale that is no problem if the subject is positive for all parties.”
