Manuel Almunia has not been included in the touring party that leaves for the Far East on Sunday. This has raised speculation that Arsenal are ready to sell him and that they will be in the market for a new goalkeeper.
The number one goalkeeping target for Arsenal has emerged as Sunderland’s Scottish international Craig Gordon. Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on the goalkeeper in a bid to bring him in as the new number one or atleast to compete against Szczesny.
Some fans do not believe Arsenal need a new goalkeeper and that Szczesny should be given the chance to fully prove himself as a top class goalkeeper.
But Gordon has all the experience we need right now. Signing him will be a big boost to the squad. Gordon has been plagued by injuries but he seems to have gotten over them now and if he is fully fit, he is one of the best keeps in the league.

Gordon is better than given. All these nigerian boys who only watch arse, mancs, chelski would never know him. But he will hamper the progress of scz n fab.
Gordo is better than anything we’ve got. Stekelenburg? wenger has yanked that chain one too many times in the past, they don’t take our calls anymore.
For everyone who says we must leave Scezcny as the first choice keeper, that’s highly illogical because we need to have a replacement for him if simething happens. The other keepers we have are “promising” but promises get broken. Example, Almunia. So signing Gordon would be good but I prefer Stekelenberg
